PHP Software Engineer Digital Health

Are you passionate about developing performant and secure web applications for healthcare and life sciences?
We are seeking a motivated developer to join us in building a Patient Monitoring platform and other business-critical web applications.

The ideal candidate

  • A passion for developing performant and secure web applications;
  • A Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Professional experience with PHP frameworks, such as Symfony and/or Laminas
  • Proficiency in front-end web development (VueJS, Typescript);
  • Experience working with professional environments, tools and technologies such as PHPStorm, GIT, MariaDB, etc.
  • Experience with big data and machine learning is a plus.
  • The flexibility to work simultaneously on various projects and customers;

    • Mobile Engineer (React Native) Digital Health

      Senior Mobile App Developer for the development of Digital Health apps in React Native.

      Responsibilities

      • Designing mobile app architecture with security and performance by design.
      • Writing clean, high-quality, maintainable code in React Native / Typescript.
      • Develop and support digital health apps
      • Writing unit tests and participating in code reviews
      • Collaborate with functional analysts, developers and the testing team

      The ideal candidate

      • Has completed a Master in Computer Science or related.
      • Has at least 3 years of experience with Mobile App Development
      • Strong knowledge of React Native, Typescript and GIT
      • Has a passion for security by design and coding practices
      • Has a good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
      • Can work with a remote team

      Growth Hacker Digital Health (Belgium)

      Eforto® is the first medical device for remote patient monitoring of physical reserves and vitality capacity in an evidence-based way. It enables Healthy Ageing by timely detecting a decline in intrinsic capacity. Eforto has been developed in collaboration with the Free University Brussels, WHO and multiple clinical research centres.

      UniWeb BV seeks a dynamic Growth Hacker and Business Developer to help us launch the Eforto solution and our Smartlink Remote Patient Monitoring platform. The ideal candidate will have a blend of sales and marketing experience, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry, and a passion for supporting clinical researchers in healthy ageing, sarcopenia, nutrition, oncology, cardiology, diabetes and burnout.

      Key Responsibilities:

      1. Sales Development: Understand the unique needs of clinical researchers and present Eforto as the solution to help them achieve their research objectives.
      2. Marketing Initiatives: Develop and execute impactful marketing campaigns, create engaging content, and manage our social media presence to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
      3. Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at clinical research institutions, ensuring they understand the value Eforto brings to their work.
      4. Technical Support: Provide potential customers insights into Eforto's functionalities, answer product-related questions, and troubleshoot any issues.
      5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Eforto team to align strategies and drive growth.

      Qualifications:

      • Proven sales experience, preferably in the medical or healthcare industry.
      • Solid scientific background in healthcare, preferably in physical therapy, movement sciences or gerontology/geriatrics.
      • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
      • Good understanding of clinical studies, research and GCP.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
      • Fluent in English, Dutch and French.
      • Experience in marketing, including campaign development, content creation, and social media management, is a plus.

      Digital Health Software Test Engineer

      Location: Hybrid (Meise or Riga)

Alongside our Smartlink Remote Patient Monitoring platform, we are at the forefront of technological advances in healthcare, aiming to support health coaches, clinical researchers, and healthcare professionals in fields like healthy ageing research, sarcopenia, nutrition, oncology, cardiology, diabetes, and burnout.

      Role Overview:

      We're seeking a dedicated Digital Health Software Test Engineer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of digital health solutions. This role primarily involves manual testing of our Eforto® solution and Smartlink platform, contributing directly to the quality assurance of software that supports critical healthcare outcomes.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Perform detailed manual testing of digital health software applications, including functional, system, and regression testing.
      • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
      • Document, track, and report defects and inconsistencies, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolutions.
      • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product functionalities and use cases.
      • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for medical device software.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
      • Proven experience in manual testing of software applications, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
      • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
      • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is preferred.
      • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
      • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
      • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English. Dutch and French proficiency is a plus.
      • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
      • Knowledge of or interest in healthcare, particularly in areas relevant to Eforto’s application (e.g., healthy ageing, sarcopenia, nutrition, oncology, cardiology, diabetes, burnout) is advantageous.
